Troubleshooting
Solve Common Hiring Issues.
Before Contacting Support.
Use these troubleshooting steps to resolve common setup, communication,
application, resume, integration, careers website, and interview scheduling
issues in Rad Recruiter.
Start With The Basics
Check Settings
Verify your Careers Website, email, calendar, and integration settings.
Check Candidate Activity
Review Candidate Detail and Conversations for application and message status.
Check Timing
Some email, calendar, and provider events may take time to process.
Protect Sensitive Data
Never send passwords, API keys, provider credentials, or unredacted resumes through unsecured channels.
These steps are designed to help resolve common Rad Recruiter setup,
communication, application, scheduling, resume, integration, and careers
website issues before contacting support.
Common Issues & Solutions
Work through the issue below that most closely matches what you are experiencing.
If the issue continues, use the support checklist at the bottom of this page.
01
Why is my job not visible on the public careers page?
Confirm that the Careers Website is enabled, the hospitality
job is active, and public visibility is turned on for that specific position.
Also verify that the careers URL matches your organization’s configured
careers address.
02
Why does the careers website say it is unavailable?
The careers address may be incorrect, disabled, or no longer connected to
an active organization. Copy the hosted careers link directly from
Settings > Careers Website rather than entering the URL manually.
03
Why did a candidate not appear in the dashboard?
Confirm that the application displayed a successful submission message,
the job is still active, and the correct organization was selected.
If testing the application, use a unique test email address because
duplicate-submission protection may prevent the same application from
being processed again.
04
Why did the candidate not receive an email?
Check the candidate’s Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders and
confirm that the email address is correct. Also verify the candidate’s status
and your organization’s email configuration. A Pending Send
status may indicate that outreach is waiting for the candidate’s local
business hours.
05
Why has an email reply not updated the candidate?
Email replies can take a few minutes to process because the connected inbox
is checked automatically. Ask the candidate to reply to the original email
thread using the same email address associated with their application.
Then check Conversations to confirm that the reply was
received and processed.
06
Why did a candidate receive the same message twice?
Check Candidate Detail and Conversations
to determine whether both messages were recorded. Rad Recruiter uses
safeguards designed to reduce duplicate messages, but provider retries or
older records may occasionally require investigation. When contacting support,
provide the candidate, job, approximate send time, and relevant screenshots.
07
Why is interview scheduling unavailable?
Open Settings > Integrations and confirm that
Calendly, Google Calendar, or Microsoft 365 Calendar is
connected and active. If Zoom is selected as the interview location,
confirm that Zoom is also connected. After reconnecting a provider,
review the hospitality job’s interview settings.
08
Why did a booked interview not change the candidate to Scheduled?
Confirm that the candidate completed the booking through the scheduling
link associated with their application and that the relevant calendar or
Calendly connection is active. Provider events may take a short time to
reach the Rad Recruiter dashboard.
09
Why can I not open or download a resume?
Make sure you are signed in with a recruiter account that has access to the
candidate’s organization. If the resume still cannot be opened, confirm that
the candidate has an uploaded resume and provide the candidate ID and error
message to support.
10
Why does signup say the email is already in use after an invitation?
The email address already belongs to an existing Rad Recruiter account,
even if that account no longer has access to the organization. Return to
the invitation and select Sign in to accept invitation
rather than creating a new account. Use Forgot password
if necessary.
11
Why does an integration still show Not Connected after authorization?
Refresh Settings > Integrations and confirm that the
provider authorization process was completed successfully. If the provider
displays an invalid client, access denied, or verification error, the
Rad Recruiter application may still require additional provider approval
or configuration.
12
Why does an embedded careers page have its own scrollbar?
The website’s iframe height or security settings may need adjustment.
Use the current embed code provided by Rad Recruiter and make sure the
website allows communication with the Rad Recruiter application domain.
Your website administrator may need to remove a fixed iframe height or
update the site’s content-security policy.
Four Things To Check First.
Many common issues can be isolated by checking the configuration, candidate
record, timing, and connected providers before escalating the issue.
1. Settings
Check Careers Website, email configuration, integrations, and calendar connections.
2. Candidate
Review Candidate Detail and Conversations for the relevant status and activity.
3. Timing
Allow time for email replies, calendar events, and provider events to process.
4. Test Data
Use a unique test email address when testing applications to avoid duplicate-submission protection.
